Brockton Woman Accused Of Spitting On, Fighting Paramedics
Paramedics found the woman lying in the middle of the road. When they tried to help her, she spit on and attacked them, police said.
BROCKTON, MA — A Brockton woman was arrested after she attacked and spit on paramedics Saturday morning after she crashed into another car, police said. Michelle Jefferson, 30, was charged with assault and battery on ambulance personnel, driving under the influence, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
Around 11:15 a.m., Jefferson was swerving through traffic and rear-ended another car at the intersection of Centre and Howland streets, police said. Emergency personnel found Jefferson lying in the middle of the street, police told the Brockton Enterprise.
When paramedics tried to help Jefferson, she spit on and started fighting them, police said. Police said Jefferson smelled like alcohol and found five nips inside her car.

Jefferson was taken to Brockton Hospital and is expected to be arraigned in Brockton District Court at a later date.
