East Bridgewater Man Arrested in Brockton for Heroin Possession

Police say he was in possession of 14 bags of heroin.

BROCKTON, MA - An East Bridgewater man had multiple bags of heroin in his vehicle, police said.

William Brown, 44, was arrested Monday night and charged with possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute (subsequent offense) and not having an inspection sticker.

At about 7:15 p.m., two troopers in Brockton conducted a random query on a white GMC Sierra. The troopers learned that the vehicle's inspection sticker had expired.

The troopers conducted a motor vehicle stop and spoke to the operator and an investigation revealed that Brown was allegedly in possession of 14 individually wrapped bags containing a brown substance that appeared to be heroin.

Brown was transported to the State Police barracks in Middleboro for booking, police said. He is expected to be arraigned this week at Brockton District Court.
