Fourth Suspect Arrested After Armed Robbery, Shooting At Cops: PD
The suspect accused of robbing T-Mobile store and shooting at police during a car chase was on the run for over a month, police said.

BROCKTON — A fourth suspect police said was part of a group who robbed a T-Mobile store at gunpoint, assaulted a store employee, and shot at police during a five-mile pursuit has been arrested.
Three of the four men were arrested after the armed robbery and police chase on Jan. 26, but police said one of the suspects got away. Diovanni Carter, 29, after over a month on the run, was arrested on Tuesday.
Carter was charged with armed robbery, conspiracy, committing a firearm violation with two prior violent/drug crimes, unlawfully carrying a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, felony possession of a firearm, failure to stop for police, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, failure to stop creating gridlock, and speeding. The other three suspects, Stephan Stewart, 26, Dennis Martin, 23, and Darius Carter, 27, were charged with armed robbery and several firearm charges.

Around 7 p.m., on Jan. 26, police were called to the T-Mobile store on Belmont Street. According to police, two masked men with guns came into the store, assaulted an employee, and stole $20,000 worth of iPhones, along with an unspecified amount of cash. A third man served as the lookout, police said. The store clerk was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police said officers found the suspects trying to leave inside a white Chevrolet. The suspects shot at the officers chasing them, police said. The chase went from car to foot, before officers said they arrested three suspects in the city's southeast area. No officers were hit by bullets or hurt during the pursuit.
