Man Charged With Armed Home Invasion, Stabbing Homeowner
The Middleborough attack earlier this month left a victim with serious injuries.

MIDDLEBOROUGH, MA — A Brockton man has been charged with a home invasion earlier this month that resulted in the stabbing of one of the homeowners. Anthony Emma, 29, is already in custody at the Plymouth County House of Corrections on a separate case.
Emma was charged with home invasion, armed assault to rob, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed assault with intent to murder, and assault and battery.
Police said Emma was masked when he broke into a couple's home on Old Center Street around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 9. When the husband attempted to stop Emma from getting to their safe, Emma allegedly stabbed him multiple times.

The victim was flown to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. He has been released and is recovering. His wife was not injured.
Emma allegedly fled the house after the stabbing and got into a vehicle that had been waiting for him.

Emma was identified as the attacker, police said, and a warrant was issued this week.
