• Brockton mayor formally charged with assault and battery, court docs show (wcvb.com) — Brockton's mayor, Moises Rodrigues, has been formally charged with misdemeanor assault and battery after a court found probable cause related to a Brockton High School student's allegation from a May parade. He has apologized, saying he never meant to make anyone uncomfortable, and will be arraigned in Hingham District Court at a later date.
