Person Jumped From Window Of Burning Brockton Building
Officials said there was heavy fire on the first, second, and third floors of the multi-use building when they arrived late Monday night.

BROCKTON, MA — A woman was taken to the hospital after jumping from the window of a burning Brockton building Monday night, WCVB reported.
Eight people were in the multi-use building at 916 Warren Avenue when the fire started just after 11 p.m., according to WCVB.
A convenience store, Bud's Variety, is located on the first floor.

Brockton Fire Chief Brian Nardelli said during a brief news conference at the scene that by the time officials arrived, there was heavy fire on the first, second, and third floors.
Nardelli also confirmed that a person had jumped from the second floor of the building.

Speaking to WCVB, Antonio Santos said he saw his neighbor jump from the apartment — though he recalled her being on the third floor.
"I see her on the third floor. She tried to grab some things. She was a little scared to jump, and she just fell," Santos said.
