BROCKTON, MA — A nursing home in Brockton facing "immediate jeopardy" has resolved serious heath and safety issues but other problems remain, federal regulators say.

Braemoor Health Center was fined $10,000 a day for a three-week period for severe problems, according to the Boston Globe. The fines total $200,000.

A Braemoor spokesperson says they are working hard to resolve all outstanding issues.

Earlier this month, the nursing home was ordered by state regulators to stop accepting new patients after it was discovered that workers didn't respond properly to one resident who suffered a heart attack and another that need oxygen.
