Woman Claims 'Sovereign Nation Status' Following Chase: PD
The suspect told officers she doesn't have to follow Massachusetts laws because she has "sovereign nation status," police said.

ABINGTON, MA — A Bridgewater women was arrested after police said she led them on a slow-speed chase and refused to cooperate, claiming "sovereign nation status."
Police said they started pursuit of Jessica Davis, 35, after she hit another car in Abington and drove away. Abington officers said they followed Davis for about three miles until she stopped in front of South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, NECN reported.
Davis did not cooperate with officers during her arrest, police said. She told officers she doesn't have to follow Massachusetts laws because she has "sovereign nation status."

Davis is scheduled for arraignment at Brockton District Court on Thursday and will face several charges.
