4 Masked Gunmen Break Into Dorm At Pine Manor: Brookline Police

BROOKLINE, MA — Four people armed with guns and wearing masks broke into a dorm room at Pine Manor College early May 4 according to police who say one student was injured. Later another student was taken into custody for having a gun on campus, but police said they're not sure if the two are connected.

Early Saturday morning someone called Brookline Police to report a need for assistance at Pine Manor College on Heath Street. When they got there police learned that an armed home invasion had just happened on campus.

One student was taken to a local hospital and treated for minor injuries. Preliminary reports indicated there were four subjects, all wearing masks and firearms were shown.

During the course of the investigation police learned that a student might have a gun on campus. Police got a search warrant and found a gun, took the student into custody and that student faces several firearm charges. Police said it's not clear yet if that student was connected to the armed home invasion at all yet.

The student that was taken into custody is scheduled to be arraigned in Brookline District Court on Monday May 7.

Police say both incidents are still under investigation.
