Bavarian-Style Beer Garden Opens At Prairie Fire In Brookline
The Beer Garden at Prairie Fire is open now through December.
BROOKLINE, MA — A backyard, Bavarian-style beer garden is now open at Prairie Fire, a Brookline restaurant owned by the team behind Steel & Rye and known for its wood-fired cooking.
Open now through December, The Beer Garden at Prairie Fire offers a rotating menu of local craft beers, wood-fired pizzas, New England specialties, and lawn games. Its rotating beer list will feature local favorites from breweries including Lamplighter Brewing in Cambridge, Idle Hands Craft Ales in Malden, Stellwagen Beer Co. in Marshfield, Vermont Beer Makers in Springfield VT, Upper Pass Beer Co. in South Royalton, VT and Schilling Beer Co. in Littleton, NH.
The Beer Garden's current summer menu includes a raw bar with local oysters and Tuna Crudo with soy rhubarb vinaigrette, pickled cherries and sea beans. Other dishes include the Bavarian Pretzel, Rhode Island-Style Calamari, Charcoal Grilled Bratwurst with sauerkraut and whole grain mustard, and the Fried Fish Sandwich with preserved lemon tartar, shredded lettuce, and pickles.

Prairie Fire's kitchen team includes Chef Brandan Joy, who has overseen both Steel & Rye and Prairie Fire since 2016 and Executive Chef Andrew Iacono, a Massachusetts native who has spent the last eleven years cooking across the country.
