Brookline Police Investigate Additional Stabbings: Reports

Two victims were stabbed during an altercation Thursday night, just a day after a robbery left one man in the hospital with stab wounds.

Brookline, MA – Police are investigating an altercation on High Street that left two victims in the hospital with stab wounds Thursday night - the second such incident in as many days in Brookline.

According to Fox 25, the incident occurred in the courtyard of 22 High Street around 9 p.m. on Thursday.

Police were called to the scene to investigate a reported fight between two groups of teens and young adults. Upon arrival, they found one young man with a stab wound and took him to a nearby hospital; a second stabbing victim showed up later at another hospital, according to the Brookline TAB.

Police told the TAB that one victim is in serious but stable condition and the second is in stable condition.

Officers do not believe Thursday's incident is connected to a stabbing that occurred during a reported robbery on Vernon Street Wednesday night, Fox 25 reported. The victim in that stabbing was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Earlier in the week, Brookline Police reported crime was down 18 percent from this time last year.

Patch reached out to the Brookline Police Department, who was not immediately available for comment.

Both cases are currently under investigation.
