Events allows junior golfers to play alongside pros.
Two teams from the Robert T. Lynch Municipal Golf Course teed it up on Thursday for the New England PGA Pro-Junior Championship, and one of them walked away with a title in their back pocket.
The event, which was held July 14 in Brookline, featured fourteen teams comprising one PGA professional and three of their junior members from all around New England.
Jack Neville, the director of golf at Robert. T. Lynch, Brian Corcoran, Harry Genis and Jordan Bayer shot 4-under gross, good enough for a net-59 to claim the net championship.

Larry Coletti led the second team from Brookline, which included of Austin Lim, Jacob Dana and Andrew Corcoran to a 3-under gross score.
The event was put together to give junior golfers a chance to play with their head pro or golfing professional for the day. Brian Corcoran, who was a part of the net championship team, said it was nice to play with someone who has made golf their everyday living.

"It was nice because he was giving us tips when we were out there," said Brian Corcoran, who will be a senior at Brookline High School and he is the No. 1 player on the high school golf team. "He has a really good short game."
Neville and his squad got out to a hot start by recording birdies on two of the first three holes. They cooled down to only go two more numbers into the red before the day was through.
The winners of the gross event were Anthony McGreavy and his crew from Wanumetonomy Golf and Country Club in Rhode Island. Tim Carrol, Alex Grimes and Gerry Haas III helped McGreavy shoot a 7-under gross score to take the gross championship.
But this day was all about getting the juniors some experience to play with experienced golfers. Neville said he has played in this event several times and that he enjoys playing with the juniors.
"These kids grew up with us," he said. "They started their lessons here and we've worked with them over the years."
