Brookline Teen Center Takes Flight with Financial Support from Brookline Bank
Brookline Bank gives $4 million credit line to development of Brookline Teen Center activities.

The following is an edited press release from the Brookline Teen Center regarding their recent funding
The , a new, planned facility to provide safe, supervised activities for Brookline teens has received a $4 million line of credit from . The financing should allow the BTC to start construction next year as it continues to raise funds to build a 12,000 foot facility and sustain the organization well into the future.
“We recognized the significant void this facility fills for Brookline’s youth,” said Paul Perrault, Chief Executive Officer of Brookline Bank. “There are too few places for teens to go after school or on weekends where they can enjoy a wide range of activities in a safe environment. In providing this financing, we are confident the BTC will receive the donations from this community necessary to both fund the construction and provide a capital base to help it meet its ongoing operating expenses.”

Paul Epstein, President of the Brookline Teen Center said, “Whether drawing on my and Theo’s experience growing up in Brookline, or my past eleven years of being a social worker at Brookline High, I know that this will address a critical need in Brookline. For six years, I have worked with a tremendous group of teens to research, design and site a state-of-the-art teen center. This is a project by and for teens, and a once-in-a-generation opportunity to improve our community. With Brookline Bank’s commitment to this project, we are finally on the cusp of seeing our collective dream become a reality.”
