Brookline's Zachary Herivaux Starts for MLS Homegrown Team

The Revolution player faced off against the Under-20 Mexico team in San Jose Wednesday night.

BROOKLINE, MA – Rising New England Revolution star Zachary Herivaux impressed soccer fans Wednesday night as one of the midfielders on Major League Soccer's Homegrown team.

Brookline's Herivaux, 20, played 73 minutes against the Under-20 team from Mexico in the MLS' 2-0 loss on Wednesday. Despite the match result, Herivaux drew praise from both fans and the media, with FourFourTwo's Scott French saying "his energy, defensive acumen and impetus to build forward -- in tandem with Chapman, also impressive -- suggests he has far more to show."

The Chipotle Homegrown team is comprised of former MLS Academy players who now play for senior level MLS teams in the United States in Canada. Harivaux signed with the Revolution as a Homegrown Player last year after spending four years on the Revolution's youth team.
