Tree Falls On House In Brookline
Brookline Schools are open, but watch out for downed trees this morning.
BROOKLINE, MA — Gusty winds have downed trees across roads, power lines and into a home in Brookline causing a bit of a delay to the morning commute. But Eversource reported by 8:30 a.m. only four customers are without power. Compare that with some 312,000 people reportedly without power this morning across the state.
The fire department reported companies were on Russet Road helping to get a tree off a house there. Police said no injuries were reported. And others reported the tree was resting on the power lines. Just down the street near the intersection of Asheville police reported it looked like another tree was on a powerline causing outtages there.
Also this morning there were workers using cherry pickers on the scene along Beacon Street working to remove a tree that had fallen near the Brandon Hall T stop. According to one Twitter user Linda Richards the tree fell into the courtyard near 1500 Beacon Street and workers were able to remove it by 3:45 a.m.
