Cantor Schloss presents, “The Immigrant Song” May 5th.
Cantor Randall Schloss of Temple Ohabei Shalom cordially invites the Community to the Fifth Annual Music and Worship Fund Benefit Concert, "The Immigrant Song," being held at Temple Ohabei Shalom, 1187 Beacon Street in Brookline, on Saturday evening, May 5th at 7:30 P.M.
Featured artists include Cantor Schloss, Soprano Leah Schloss, Cantor Elias Rosemberg (Temple Emanuel, Newton,) Cantor Erin Frankel, and Music Director David Sparr. The PALS Children's Chorus of Brookline will also make a special appearance. This wonderful evening of magnificent performances is a mosaic of contemporary and traditional music from around the globe, from Sao Paulo to Marrakesh, from Tel Aviv to New York and beyond, capturing immigrant experiences throughout the ages. The concert will feature works by a rich and diverse group of composers including Leonard Bernstein, Kurt Weill, Paul Simon, Gabriel Faure, Nina Simone, Shlomo Bar as well as folk music from around the globe! Styles of music include Israeli pop, French art song, Yiddish and American musical theater, Jazz and Tango.

The proceeds from the concert benefit the Temple Ohabei Shalom Music & Worship Fund with enables music education and performance, including liturgical support and sponsoring guest artists, for Temple Ohabei Shalom and the community at large.
