Local Businessowner and Baker Pairs Tart with Your Art in T'ART [VIDEO]

A tart is an open-faced pie usually made with fruit, most often with a shortcrust pastry. A T'ART, from Amour Creations, is one way to make your own tart out of what you happen to have lying around your kitchen: fresh or frozen fruits, springform or glass pans.

Founder Linda Amir points out that it's not just for sweet tarts, you can make savory tarts as well. She's slowly building the T'ART brand through tastings at places like , the Meat House, , and . 

"It's taking baby steps, and once I reach different plateaus, I'm ready to do the next thing." Amir added, "It's been a very educational process over the last year, in learning what it takes to bring a product to market."

The next step for Amour Creations is deciding how to increase production, while still baking up samples for tastings, and running the website, AmourCreations.net. Amir also piles her tart-making operation on top of a full-time job downtown.
