Man Secretly Taped Patrons In Restaurant Bathroom: Police

Detectives arrested a man Thursday for videotaping patrons in a bathroom at a restaurant, now police need your help identifying victims.

BROOKLINE, MA — Police said they arrested an owner of a Brookline restaurant Thursday afternoon for secretly video taping people in the bathroom over a period of time that extends as far back as 2015. Now police are asking for the public's help in connecting with possible victims.

Detectives arrested Tze "Andy" Chung, 63, of Weston about 4:30 p.m. after another police department's investigation turned up the videos of patrons in Taam China's bathroom, according to police. Chung will be charged with several counts of secretly videotaping people.

Chung, who identified himself to police as the owner of Taam China, was arrested and is scheduled to be arraigned in Brookline District Court soon. Police declined to give any other information other than they had not independently verified that the man was the owner of the restaurant.

This is not the first time something like this has happened in Brookline. Back in 2015, a Zaftig's employee was arrested and charged with putting a hidden camera in a bathroom at that popular establishment.

Taam China is in the JFK Crossing neighborhood of Brookline next to Kupel's Bakery. Chung opened Taam China, a Glatt Kosher Chinese restaurant in 1997.

If you or someone you know visited Taam China ( at 423 Harvard Street) on one of the dates below and used the bathroom, police ask that you give them a call.

Police ask that anyone who has been recently check credit card receipts or calendar to help confirm one of these dates.
