Yesterday a Dunster Road resident called to report a phone was taken out of their home that afternoon but it didn't appear anyone had forced their way into the home, police noted in a report. A bit later a Boylston Street resident called to report someone had rifled through and taken the contents from her pocketbook, but it didn't appear anyone had forced their way into her home either.

While officers were finishing up that call, a Woodland Road resident called to report she heard someone trying to open her front door then saw a man she described as white, wearing a white T-shirt and jeans trying to get into her home.

While that woman was telling police what happened another woman came over and told police she and her family had been in their home, when a man had come in through the unlocked mudroom. The family heard their dog barking and looked up to see a man wearing a white T-shirt standing inside their home, according to police. They asked him what he was doing there. Police redacted his response in the police report.

Police found a man who met the description in the back parking lot of the Beaver Country Day School.

The Woodland Road witnesses positively identified the man as the one who they saw trying to get into their homes. Police arrested Blaise Conway of Lexington Street, in Woburn and charged him with breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and attempted breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony.

At this time police say they believe all four incidents are connected.

Between January 1 and July 16 this year, there have been 26 burglaries, according to the most recent police data available. Last year there were 62 for the entire year.
