Maruichi Brookline To Expand, Move To New Location
The Japanese market will now be located across the street at 306 Harvard St.

BROOKLINE, MA — Maruichi Brookline, a Japanese market based out of Connecticut, has announced its plan to expand and move to a larger location next month.
The market will now be located at 306 Harvard St., the former home of a Gap store that closed in December, and change its name to Maruichi Select. As part of the expansion, the store will have roughly three times the shopping area and an extensive selection of new products and offerings, including a food court.
"Expect to see the new version of Maruichi with all the things you love about it, plus more!!" said the market in a Facebook post.

Maruichi Brookline opened at its current location In February 2020 and offers products including sashimi grade fish, ramen, bento, sushi, bubble tea, snacks, tea, coffee, and grocery items. However, as the market prepares for its move, customers may find fewer products in stock over the next few weeks.
"You may start to notice some empty spaces on the shelves and might wonder why your favorite product is not in stock," said the store. "This is mostly because we are trying to reduce our inventory to get ready for the big move. It has also been challenging to fill the shelves due to the import restrictions caused by the pandemic."
