Menorah From Brookline Temple Found In West Roxbury
'We have not eliminated the possibility of this being considered a hate crime,' police said although it may have been taken for scrap.

BROOKLINE, MA —A 300 pound Menorah was stolen from the Temple Emeth in Brookline and found in West Roxbury this morning, according to police.
"We have not eliminated the possibility of this being considered a hate crime," police said in a statement. But, say police, it appears the statue might have been targeted by scrap metal thieves because of its size.
Around 6 a.m. Boston Police found a large Menorah near the corner of Church and Weld Streets in West Roxbury. Police said the large Menorah was believed to be stolen from Temple Emeth at 194 Grove St. Brookline around the corner.
