New Owners Coming Soon for Michael's Deli, Ginza

New ownership coming to two Brookline restaurants, one expected to stay the same, the other a new style of Japanese cooking

"Addicting Cabbage" is among the new dishes coming to Brookline--as well as new ownership in the coming months for  and , sources say.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports that in Coolidge Corner has been sold. In an e-mail to the blog, the new owner Steven Peljovich, confimed that he has purchased the deli, and that the current owner Michael Sobelman, will stay on during a transitional period. The focus of the restaurant will stay the same, but with some new touches.

BRT also reports that restaurant will be replaced by Gyu-Kaku, a Japan-based "yakiniku" restaurant--a style of cooking bite-sized pieces of meat on griddles or gridirons over charcoal or flame, according to Wikipedia--Gyu-Kaku's twist is that diners cook their own food

The menu for their New York's East Village location includes a number of grilled items, as well as other items like edamame, kim-chee and salads. The menu also includes a dish called "Addicting Cabbage."
