Nominations Open For Brookline Women Of The Year

BROOKLINE, MA — The Brookline Commission for Women (BCW) has opened nominations for Brookline Women of the Year awards.

BCW, whose mission is to promote equity and justice for all self-identifying women and girls, will honor up to five nominees at a virtual event on Wednesday, Match 23 at 7:30 p.m.

Nominations will be accepted until the end of the business day on Friday, Feb. 18. Here is a list of criteria:

• Nominees must be women who made a significant positive impact on the community, or at the state or national level, in 2021
• Nominees must currently live or work in Brookline
• Nominees may be individuals or a team of two or more women who worked together
• Nominees may not be current candidates for townwide elected office in Brookline, current members of the Commission for Women, or past Woman of the Year award recipients (see a list of past honorees on the BCW website)
• Nominations may not be made by a family member of the nominee (s)
