Should Brookline Implement Relaxed Stop Sign Rules for Bicyclists?
Brookline police asked the public to weigh in.
Brookline are debating implementing the “Idaho Stop,” which would allow bicyclists to treat stop signs like yield signs.
Police took a Twitter poll and received about 200 responses:

Police said about 130 of the tweets were in favor of the Idaho Stop and about 40 were against it.
“Our main concern is safety for all,” police said in a statement.
