Area Students Named to Colby College Dean's List
WATERVILLE, ME (02/29/2012)(readMedia)-- Area students were named to the dean's list at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, for their outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2011-12 year.
Nicholas P. Hunnewell, a member of the Class of 2012, is the son of Ogden and Nina Hunnewell of Chestnut Hill, Mass., and is majoring in economics at Colby. He attended Milton Academy.

Marissa J. Simmons, a member of the Class of 2012, is the daughter of Robert and Diane Simmons of Chestnut Hill, Mass., and is majoring in history at Colby. She attended Milton Academy.
Daniel J. Chiniara, a member of the Class of 2013, is the son of John and Ellen Chiniara of Brookline, Mass., and is majoring in physics at Colby. He attended Brookline High School.

Charlotte H. Gardiner, a member of the Class of 2013, is the daughter of Nathaniel and Nancy Gardiner of Chestnut Hill, Mass., and is majoring in history at Colby. She attended Winsor School.
Sarah G. Nalven, a member of the Class of 2013, is the daughter of David Nalven and Jill Goldman of Chestnut Hill, Mass., and is majoring in biology at Colby. She attended Brookline High School.
Students whose grade point averages were 3.61 or higher were named to the Dean's List.

David William Roper of Brookline Named to University of Kansas Fall 2011 Honor Roll
LAWRENCE, KS (02/29/2012)(readMedia)-- More than 4,400 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas earned honor roll distinction for the fall 2011 semester, including David William Roper, of Brookline, Mass. He is a senior in Global and International Studies. He made the honor roll for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and in the schools of allied health; architecture, design and planning; business; education; engineering; journalism; music; nursing; pharmacy; and social welfare.
Honor roll criteria vary among the university's academic units. Some schools honor the top 10 percent of students enrolled, some establish a minimum grade-point average and others raise the minimum GPA for each year students are in school. Students must complete a minimum number of credit hours to be considered for the honor roll.
Drew University Names Nicholas J. Klein to Dean's List
MADISON, NJ (03/01/2012)(readMedia)-- Drew University student Nicholas J. Klein of Brookline, MA, has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester. In order to qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.4 or above, which is equivalent to a B+ or better.

Local Resident Named to Dean's List at Cornell University

Kenidi Marie Kern earns Dean's Award at Colgate University
HAMILTON, NY (03/02/2012)(readMedia)-- Kenidi Marie Kern is a recipient of the Dean's Award for academic excellence during the 2011 fall term at Colgate University, where Kern is a member of the Class of 2012.
To be eligible for the Dean's Award, a Colgate student must achieve a 3.30 or higher average while enrolled in four courses. Kern, a graduate of The Winsor School, is concentrating in Psychology at Colgate. Kern lives in Brookline, MA 02446-5353.
