Newton Firefighters Battling Residential Blaze
The flames first broke out at approximately 10 a.m. Monday morning.
NEWTON, MA — Firefighters are currently battling a house fire in the vicinity of 210 River St.
Crews first responded to the scene shortly after 10 a.m. Monday morning. Heavy smoke and flames could be seen emanating from the top floor of the two-and-a-half-story residence. The Cambridge and Weston Fire Departments have provided mutual aid for the two-alarm blaze thus far.
The roadway is currently closed as the extinguishing effort is underway.
