John Lanzillotti and his girlfriend, Jessica Campbell, were killed in the June 21 crash in Back Bay

A trial date has been set for a man accused of blowing a red light and striking a Brookline couple in a fatal crash in June.

John Lanzillotti, 28, and his girlfriend, Jessica Campbell, 27, were killed after authorities said Mohamed Alfageeh, 30, of Allston, hit them in Back Bay.

Lanzillotti was an Emmy award-winning producer with the Boston Red Sox. Campbell was a retail analyst.

The Boston Herald reported Alfageeh will go on trial in May.

At the time of the crash, Lanzillotti and Campbell were holding hands, enjoying a “romantic stroll” through Back Bay, the Herald reported.
