WOBURN, MA — Bail was set at $1,000 for Stephanie DeTomasi, 30, of Burlington, for charges in relation to the Oct. 14 hit-and-run that injured four children in Stoneham, according to reports Tuesday. DeTomasi was charged with leaving the scene of personal injury, leaving the scene of property damage, destruction of evidence, negligent operation and speeding. The children, all 12 or 13, suffered minor injuries; two were sent to the hospital.

DeTomasi was also told not to drive, CBS Boston reported, which has additional details from the bond hearing. Prosecutors alleged that DeTomasi removed her car's plate and hid it under a tarp in Lynn. A probable cause hearing is scheduled for Nov. 26.

After the hit-and-run, police released video taken by a neighbor that appears to show a car veering off the road into the children, sending them flying back. Stoneham Police Chief James McIntyre said the vehicle was a dark-colored Subaru Legacy driving westbound on Elm Street. The children were standing with their bikes in front of a home at the corner of MacArthur Road. The Subaru then struck a parked car in a driveway and drove away, McIntyre said.
