A Basketful Of Endorsements For Priest In Selectmen's Race

BURLINGTON, MA — The following letter to the editor was submitted in support of Nick Priest, who is running for Burlington Selectmen for the second straight year. And once again, Priest will be the lone challenger in a three-way race against two incumbents who are up for reelection.

We are so pleased to endorse Nick Priest for Burlington’s Board of Selectmen. With more businesses, restaurants, and traffic moving into Burlington, it is critical that we develop a long-range plan to meet the needs of residents and businesses alike. Nick believes in developing this vision based on our input. He has the background (communications and marketing) to make this happen.

Nick is Burlington born and raised and a graduate of Burlington High School. He and his wife are currently raising their three children here, instilling in them the positive values he learned from his parents. Work-wise, he has experience in budgets, timelines, research, delivering information quickly and effectively, messaging, and leadership – all necessary for the role of a Selectman.

Nick is a go-getter. He has the energy and passion to move Burlington forward. He stands for creating a more transparent government that works to keep citizens informed. He means to find ways to invigorate our sense of community and culture, preserve our green space, and address our traffic issues – for starters.

This town we love deserves enthusiastic leadership that is open to new ideas and long-range planning. We deserve a Selectman who will listen to new ideas and communicate with the constituency effectively. We need Nick Priest.
