Bedford Farms Closes Burlington Location

BURLINGTON, MA -- A trio of ice cream shops is now a duo. Bedford Farms, which dates back to the 1800s, closed the location it had opened on 3rd Avenue in Burlington in 2015. "We are heading back to our roots and look forward to serving and supporting the community for many years to come at our Bedford and Concord shops," a note on the now-shuttered Burlington location says.

According to Boston Restaurant Talk, which first reported this story, Bedford Farms started as a dairy in the 19th century and started making ice cream in the 1940s.
