BHS' "Mary Poppins" features a cast of real characters! Meet Mrs. Brill, Robertson Ay and Miss Andrew

Tickets for BHS production of "Mary Poppins" are selling like hotcakes...must be the "Spoonful of Sugar!"

Mary Poppins, has a real cast of characters! "Meet The Cast" of the Burlington High School production of this family-friendly musical. But don't wait to buy your tickets...they won't last!

Luke Iler, Burlington High School senior, is playing odd-job man Robertson Ay in Mary Poppins. In years passed he has been a Letterman in Grease and a Farmer in The Music Man. Luke plays saxophone in the BHS Concert and Marching Band and challenges himself on the robotics team. As leader of the CAD sub-team, Luke is instrumental to building a new robot for competition each year. Luke plans to further his love for math and science by attending college in pursuit of an engineering degree.

Laura Frustaci, Burlington High School junior, is excited to serve up some “Brimstone and Treacle” as Miss Andrew, the Holy Terror! Laura is no stranger to the BHS stage, counting a total of seven productions including last year's The Music Man in which she played Zaneeta Shinn. Her favorite role to date was Anne Frank in Melrose Theatre To Go's The Diary of Anne Frank, for which she is currently nominated for an ArtsImpulse Boston Award. Other roles include Abby Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace and Molly in 13 the Musical. Laura is a captain of Idle Hands Improv Club and an editor of BHS’ award-winning literary magazine, Collab. In her free time, Laura enjoys photography and ballroom dancing.

Crystal Curran, Burlington High School junior who counts Mary Poppins as her third BHS musical, will play the role of Mrs. Brill, the cook. Crystal is no stranger to performance; past roles include Winnifred Once Upon a Mattress, Miss Glace in Coney Island Christmas, Queen of Hearts in A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol, Elsa Schrader in The Sound of Music, and Sour Kangaroo in Seussical. Crystal has been accepted for two years into the MMEA Senior District Choir for two years and received an All-State recommendation this year.

Mary Poppins performances take place in the Fogelberg Performing Arts Center on the campus of Burlington High School, 123 Cambridge Street, Burlington MA.
