Boogie Down To Texas when Burlington welcomes Texas Swing greats ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL June 9
We are fiddlin' around this June when Burlington Community Concert Series kickstarts the summer with super hot country band

The Burlington Community Concert Series is thrilled to announce it will host a rare Boston area appearance of Texas Swing superstars, Asleep at the Wheel, on Friday, June 9 at 7:30 pm, in the Fogelberg Performing Arts Center of Burlington High School.
Kings of Western Swing, an exciting style merging the influences of cowboy style, Hillbilly music and big band jazz, Asleep at the Wheel has plenty to crow about including being voted Best Country and Western Band by Rolling Stone, awarded Touring Band of the Year by the Academy of Country Music, honored by the Americana Music Association with a Lifetime Achievement Award and inducted into the 2015 Austin City Limits Hall of Fame. Billboard Magazine states, “Everything this act has ever released is simply spectacular.”
Founded over 45 years ago in Paw Paw, West Virginia, by frontman Ray Benson, Asleep at the Wheel is now based in Austin, Texas. The legendary country band now holds 10 Grammy awards, have produced 20 studio albums and charted more than 20 singles on the Billboard country charts.

Asleep at the Wheel has a fresh look and sound to their music. Traveling as an 8-piece band, recent additions Katie Shore (fiddle, vocals), Dennis Ludiker (fiddle, mandolin) and Connor Forsyth (keyboard, vocals) have instilled a newfound energy and their own unique style within the band. Between those Texas Twin Fiddles and Boogie Piano, you can bet you’ll be dancin’ down the aisles and swingin’ all night long when the Wheel rolls into town!
The 2015 Grammy Award-winning, “Still the King: Celebrating the Music of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys,” is the band’s most recent release and marks their third full-length Bob Wills tribute album. Featuring 22 acclaimed collaborations, the all-star lineup includes legends such as Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Lyle Lovett and George Strait and newcomers like The Avett Brothers, Amos Lee, Old Crow Medicine Show and many other world class country giants.
