This is the third time that Connor gets to drop the puck at his honorary hockey game in which his Dad, Jon "Forrest" Mullaly plays. Jon and his co-workers from Cataldo and Atlantic Ambulances have been having this hockey rivalry for years. But after Connor was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (and later Pervasive Developmental Disorder which is on the Autism Spectrum), Jon's co-workers decided to help him and his family.
Tickets are $20 each and available at the door. Prizes include an Autographed puck from Adam McQuaid, Signed jersey from Clay Buchholz, Booze Bucket, Beer Bucket, Keurig Coffee Basket, Gaming Console and Ladies Basket.
Duchennne Muscular Dystrophy is degenerative muscle-wasting disease. Generally boys end up in wheelchairs between 10-12 and due to heart failure (since the heart is a muscle too) death around 25. His diagnosis has been devastating but are trying to focus on the here and now and what we can do to improve his life now.
