Vegan Football Food

Football and food go hand in hand, no doubt about that. So what is a vegan to make to satisfy the masses without sacrificing taste? Turns out, plenty!

With so many games to watch in the coming weekend and a house full of people who like to snack while cheering on their team, I will be busy in the kitchen! Most game watching food is cheesy, gooey and unhealthy. While I plan to partake in the cheesy and gooey element, I would like to do without the unhealthy part.

If you are a vegan or just want some healthier options for the weekend games check out these three recipes.

1. I've written about these buffalo tofu bites before, but I've improved and updated the recipe and it's well worth trying. Use my vegan ranch dressing to dunk these in.

2. Nachos! Yes that's nachos with cheese, okay not actual cheese of course, but it's a very pleasing substitute. I've served this to many non vegans who didn't seem to have any problem scarfing them down.

3. Baked french fries with a cashew cheese sauce. These french fries are great to dip into the sauce but also taste just as delicious dipped in ketchup too.

So whether your cheering on Baltimore, New York, San Francisco or New England (go Pats!) you will have a room full of happily fed guests with these 3 recipes, vegans or not.
