"The Music Man" is a-comin' into Burlington for performances over two big weekends

Bring the family and friends to see a slice of Americana in Burlington High School's performance of "The Music Man"

“O-Ho the Wells Fargo Wagon is a-comin’ down the street,” and when it arrives, audiences of all ages will flock to the Fogelberg Performing Arts Center when Burlington High School presents America’s most beloved musical, The Music Man!

The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman Harold Hill as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys’ band he vows to organize - this despite the fact he doesn’t know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by the final curtain.

With words and music by Meredith Wilson, songs from The Music Man are world famous and include “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Good Night My Someone,” The Wells Fargo Wagon,” “Till There Was You,” “Gary, Indiana,” “Trouble,” “Good Night Ladies,” and the list goes on!
