Burlington Back To School Guide For 2018-19
We have everything you need to know to get the school year off to a great start.

BURLINGTON, MA -- There are plenty of changes in store for parents and students as they head back to school this year, but the biggest is the new school start times, which were approved by the school committee in November. Burlington is one of several school districts that have adjusted school start times to address the development of teenagers, who typically need more sleep than younger students.
Under the change, school start and dismissal times will be as follows this year:
| BHS | Marshall Simonds | Fox Hill | Memorial | Pine Glen | Francis Wyman | |
| Start | 8:35 | 7:35 | 8:10 | 8:10 | 8:10 | 8:35 |
| Dismissal | 3:05 | 1:55 | 2:15 | 2:15 | 2:15 | 2:40 |
Students in grades 1-12 will go back to school on Tuesday, September 4, with kindergartners and Pre-K classes starting the following day.

Marshall Simonds Middle School Welcome Night
Another big change this year is the replacements of an administration team that had led the Marshall Simonds Middle School for decades. Parents and students will have a chance to meet new and old faculty members on Welcome Night on August 29 from 5 to 6 pm. At 6 pm, sixth graders and their families will have a welcome presentation in the auditorium.
