Burlington Barbecue Restaurant 'Closed Until Further Notice'

BURLINGTON, MA -- An authentic barbecue joint that has been serving up ribs and brisket on Cambridge Street in Burlington since 2005 has closed. It's unclear why Lester's Roadside BBQ was shuttered, or if it will reopen. A sign posted on the building only says "Closed Until Further Notice." A phone number on the restaurant's Website was disconnected and its Facebook page has been taken down.

Earlier this summer Lester's was closed and a "Seized For Nonpayment Of Taxes" was posted on the front of the restaurant. The owner's said it was a paperwork snafu, and the restaurant reopened a few days later after the issue was cleared up.

Now the restaurant has been closed since at least Monday, according to Boston Restaurant Talk, which first reported this story. Patch has emailed the restaurant and will update this story if they get back to us with more details.
