Burlington Bear Has Its Own Twitter Account

BURLINGTON, MA -- The black bear that's been spotted loading up on calories in dumpsters behind businesses along Middlesex Turnpike in Burlington over the course of the past week has received a high honor in the social media age: it's very own parody account on Twitter.
"Second night in a row that I’m trying to get in to @AMCTheatres to see Wreck it Ralph. Maybe I’ll just sift through their dumpster instead," someone purporting to be the bear posted on Twitter Monday, a few hours after the bear was seen in the movie theater's parking lot.
The bear, which is likely getting ready to hibernate and storing up body fat, has been seen rummaging through dupsters near Wegmans, Buffalo Wild Wings and a business park. And despite the excitement and the well-intentioned fun generated on Twitter, Burlington Police and its animal control officer have been taking to social media to warn people not to approach the bear, move bird feeders indoors and give it a wide berth.
