Burlington Chili's Closes
The closing had been rumored for months and leaves just five Chili's left standing in greater Boston.

BURLINGTON, MA -- Chili's closed its Burlington location this week, and furniture was being removed from the location on Friday. The company did not respond to a request for comment but the location is no longer listed on its Website. The Burlington location joins locations in Dedham, Hingham, and Wilmington that Chili's has closed in recent years.
In January, Chili's told Patch that its lease was set to expire at the end of May but no plan had been finalized. There has been widespread speculation that Yard House was eyeing the Middlesex Turnpike location. A spokesperson for that restaurant chain was not immediately available for comment Friday afternoon.
As a chain, Chili's has struggled in recent quarters. Last year the company simplified its menu to focus on its most popular items, and it has been closing under-performing restaurants. With the Burlington closing, there are just five Chili's remaining in greater Boston.
