Burlington Coronavirus: BCAT Update With Superintendent Conti

Burlington Public Schools Superintendent Eric Conti spoke to BNEWS's Rich Hosford about the school situation so far.

BURLINGTON, MA — Burlington Public Schools Superintendent Eric Conti appeared on BCAT recently to discuss the school situation with BNEWS director Rich Hosford. Conti updated viewers on district plans and discussions as the coronavirus school shutdown continues.

Conti said that superintendents are "doubtful" that schools will return to normal operation on May 4, as scheduled, and explained the School Committee's decision to cancel most of the April break, which would have been this week. Remote learning will take place Wednesday through Friday.

Hosford also asked about remote learning, getting devices to students, meal provision, and graduation plans. Conti praised the teachers but discussed the challenges remote learning presents.
