Burlington Democratic Town Committee To Hold Caucus Next Month
Burlington Democrats will gather next month to elect delegates to the 2026 State Democratic Convention.
BURLINGTON, MA — The Burlington Democratic Town Committee will hold a caucus on Monday, March 16 at the Town Hall Annex, Basement Meeting Room, 25 Center St., Burlington, according to a statement from Burlington Democrats.
Registration begins at 4:30 p.m., with caucus activities starting after 5 p.m. The Town Hall Annex is handicapped accessible through the rear entrance.
During the caucus, participants will elect up to 14 delegates and four alternates to represent Burlington at the state convention. Registered and pre-registered Democrats in Burlington are eligible to vote and run for delegate or alternate positions. Individuals who are not currently registered as Democrats may enroll in the party during caucus registration in order to participate.

The 2026 State Convention, hosted by the Massachusetts Democratic Party, will be a nominating convention. Delegates will vote on Democratic candidates for statewide office and determine which candidates qualify for the September 2026 primary ballot.
Offices up for nomination include U.S. senator, currently held by Ed Markey, as well as governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of the commonwealth, state treasurer and state auditor.

The convention will take place May 29 to 30 at the DCU Center in Worcester.
The delegate fee is $85, with a reduced $65 fee for students, seniors, and persons with disabilities. A confidential fee waiver process is available for those facing financial hardship.
