Burlington High School Musicians Take Home Honors In Montreal
Senior Eleanor Yu was one of five performers out of 500 in the competition at Concordia University to receive the Maestro Award.

BURLINGTON, MA -- The Burlington High School Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band and combined chorus are back home after traveling to Montreal to perform in a competition at Concordia University. The Wind Ensemble took home a first-place gold medal and the other two performing groups won Silver medals.
Senior Eleanor Yu was awarded the Maestro Award for her piano performance. She was just one of five performers out of 500 in the competition to receive a Maestro Award.
While in Montreal, the students played in the competition and were judged against other ensembles. In addition, each ensemble attended a master class at a college in the Montreal area. The band's master classes was held at Vanier College. The chorus' class was held at McGill University.

Students alss visited Old Montreal, the Basilica of Notre Dame, the 21 Swings exhibit and other local sites of interest.
