Burlington High School's "Mary Poppins" costumes are a work of art!
See spectacular costume design by Maureen Krebs, creative director and owner of The Costume Room, in Burlington High School production
When opening night of Mary Poppins arrives on April 1 at Burlington High School, the art of costume design will be a key element in the magic of the production! Created by Maureen Krebs, owner and creative director of The Costume Room of Burlington, MA, the costumes will take the audience back to 1910 London!
The Costume Room has been a creative design force for both educational and community theatricals. Krebs started the business when a need arose for a costume designer during the years her daughter was cast in productions at Burlington High School. Her keen eye for detail, color and texture are award winning!
Sewing from her home workshop, her first complete wardrobe was created in 2008 when she worked on Thoroughly Modern Millie. Fast forward about six years and Krebs has designed over 30 shows and shipped to 13 states across the country. The Costume Room, first housed in a basement shop, is now located at 125 Cambridge Street, directly next to Burlington High School with additional storage at another location.
