Burlington Man Charged with Child Porn

A former Mass. DOC employee was caught allegedly trying to upload a child porn video to an adult website.

BURLINGTON, MA - A former employee of the Massachusetts Department of Correction is facing child pornography charges, the Middlesex DA's Office said.

Jason Riccio, 33, of Burlington, was arraigned Wednesday in Middlesex Superior Court and charged with possession of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography.

On June 17, 2016, Burlington Police received a tip from State Police that someone from an adult website submitted a tip saying someone was trying to upload child pornography to the website on May 10, 2016 from a possible location in Burlington.

Riccio allegedly indicated to investigators that he located the video of the girl on another website that features one-on-one webcams. The defendant allegedly recorded the video and shared it to the adult website.

Authorities allegedly discovered other video and graphic images of child pornography in files under the Riccio's username.

Police obtaineded a subpoena for the IP address connected to the upload and determined it was registered to where Riccio was living.

Riccio was released on personal recognizance and ordered not use the internet unless searching for employment. The hearing is scheduled to return to court June 6.
