Freedman, is a member of “Team Lanzoni,” a group of over 30 people from the 99 Restaurants who have run the Falmouth Road Race to support Dana-Farber for the past seven years. Team Lanzoni runs in memory of their friend and colleague, David Lanzoni, who lost his battle with cancer in 2006. Through the group’s participation from 2006 to 2011, they have raised more than $300,000 for Dana-Farber.

Dana-Farber team members running the Falmouth Road Race must meet a basic fundraising commitment of $1,250. One-hundred-percent of the funds raised benefit the Jimmy Fund (www.JimmyFund.org), which solely supports Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, raising funds for adult and pediatric cancer care and research to improve the chances of survival for cancer patients around the world.
