Burlington Police Arrest B&E Suspect After Manhunt
Police called in K-9 units to help located Patrick Jerome, 23, of Boston, who was charged with breaking into a Chestnut Avenue home.

BURLINGTON, MA -- Burlington Police arrested a 22-year-old man after an extensive search following an alleged breaking and entering attempt Monday night. Burlington Police Detective Steven O'Meara said after breaking into a house on Chestnut Avenue, Patrick Jerome, 23, of 66 Milton Avenue in Boston, fled on foot behind the car wash on Cambridge Street. Jerome allegedly stole an iPad from the home, which was recovered when he was arrested.
There was a heavy police presence in the area as police as police responded to the call at 7:50 pm. Police utilized K-9 units in their search and initially put out a description of a man that was about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and wearing a North Face jacket.
Jerome was arrested a short time later near the newly-constructed, town-owned salt dome behind Shaw's. He was charged with breaking and entering, trespassing and resisting arrest. He was also wanted on a default warrant.
