BURLINGTON, MA — The Burlington Police Department is purchasing a new drone at a cost of $16,856, according to the Daily Times Chronicle. The department said a new drone was needed because its old one was outdated.

The new drone can fly in any kind of weather and has thermal imaging. The department expects the drone will be especially useful in missing-person and search-and-rescue cases.
