Burlington Police Promotes Members, Hires Officers
Three members of the department received promotions while new officers are being brought in following training.
BURLINGTON, MA — The Burlington Police Department recently promoted three of its members.
Lieut. Thomas Carlson was promoted to captain; Sgt. William Trelegan was promoted to lieutenant; and Officer Daniel Main was promoted to sergeant.
They were officially sworn into their new positions at a June 8 ceremony.

Five newer officers will also join the department, according to Burlington Cable Access TV News.

The officers were appointed before entering the NECC Police Academy. They are now in the final phase of the field training program and are expected to begin solo patrol assignments later this month.
