Burlington Pop Warner Treasurer Stole $13K, Police Say

Rebecca Amaral, the former treasurer of Burlington Pop Warner, was charged with stealing $13,000 from the organization.
Police say Amaral, 41, stole cash from registration fees, and raffles—among other sources—over the course of two years and used the money to pay for groceries and bills, Fox 25 reported.
Burlington police Chief Michael Kent told Fox 25 that Amaral "stole money from the very children she was supposed to be helping,"
