Burlington Public Library Announces Upcoming Events
The Burlington Public Library has announced several kid-friendly events that will take place throughout the summer.

Adult Summer Reading
There is still time to get in on the fun! Our Summer Reading programs aren’t just for kids! Adults, come join
the challenge. Fill out a form for each book you read between June 1 and August 31 and automatically earn
chances to win a monthly drawing for prizes! For more information on how to participate, visit our website at
burlingtonpubliclibrary.org and click on the Adult Summer Reading link under “Library News” on the
homepage. July’s prize is pizza and a movie! The bucket of goodies includes a $25 gift card to The Upper
Crust Pizzeria and a $25 gift card to AMC Burlington 10.

Join the Science Pirates for some messy interactive fun converting solids, liquids, and gases.
Tween Marshmallow Building (Grades 4-8) - Tuesday, July 24, 7-8 pm Jenna challenges you to see what you can build out of marshmallows.
Family Story and Craft (All Ages) - Wednesday, July 25, 11-11:45 am Enjoy a story and a tale-based craft
with Amanda.
Teen Pop Tart House Competition - Wednesday, July 25, 4-5 pm. See who can build the best pop tart house for Nicole.
K-9 East Dog Training (All Ages) - Thursday, July 26, 6-6:45 pm
Mike, from K-9 East will be here with his dog to demonstrate dog training.
Teen Lock-In (Grades 6-12) - Friday, July 27, 6-9 pm
Join Nicole and Jenna for after-hours library fun. They’ll have pizza, board and Wii games, and crafts. Pick up a permission slip at the Children’s Desk then return with the signed slip and sign up.
Pirate and Pixie Party - Saturday, July 28, 11-11:45 am
Come meet our visitors from Neverland. Plenty of photo opportunities!
